Vitality Westminster Mile 2019: Westminster Schools

Welcome to all Westminster schools!

We are delighted that you are going to join the ActiveWestminster Wave at the Vitality Westminster Mile on Sunday 26 May 2019.

The VWM is the world’s most iconic mile, featuring a series of more than 30 one mile running events for all ages and abilities on a spectacular route in central London that starts on The Mall and finishes in front of Buckingham Palace.

The 2018 event set a world record with more than 8000 finishers, making the Vitality Westminster Mile the biggest timed mile event in the world.

This year there is also a special event  for Westminster’s Primary and Secondary school children, their parents and teachers called the “Active Westminster Wave!”

Entry is free for Westminster Primary school children and every finisher gets a medal and a goody bag. Do encourage your friends to enter too!

It’s a great bank holiday day out for all the family with lots of free family-friendly activities during the day at the Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park.

Do come and visit the Westminster City Council activation area at the festival to try a range of different activities and for the chance to win some great prizes.

For Schools:
If Schools are entering students directly, teachers will just need to register first via the link (and just add whether or not they are running too) and they can then register up to 35 children as long as they have the following information for each young athlete:

For Parents:
If parents are registering and both parents are running in the Active Westminster Wave, parent one would register and include their young athlete(s) details; parent two then registers separately via the same link.
